*Prophylaxis & treatment of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (RDS):* BY ENDOTRACHEAL TUBE: 5 ml/ kg as soon as the diagnosis of RDS or risk of RDS is established; the second and third dose should be administered 12 and 24 hrs later to those infants remaining on ventilators.
