📋 Indications & Clinical Dosage
*In combination with other antiviral drugs for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C infection of genotypes 1, 3 or 4, with or without compensated cirrhosis:*
Adult: 60 mg once daily for up to 24 weeks.
⚠️ Precautions & Warnings
Hepatitis B virus co-infection; screen patients for hepatitis B before starting treatment, patients infected with both hepatitis B and C viruses must be monitored and managed accordingly. Child-Pugh C liver disease, decompensated liver disease, human immunodeficiency virus co-infection, organ transplant patients, treatment with direct-acting
antivirals may affect the efficacy of vitamin K antagonists; INR should be monitored closely in patients receiving concomitant treatment.
🔄 Drug Interactions
NNRTI, dabigarton, digoxin, oral contraceptives, statins, amiodarone. Strong or moderate CYP3A4 or P-gp inducers (e.g. phenytoin, carbamazepine, phenobarbital, rifampicin, systematic dexamethasone, St. Johns Wort) or strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. boceprevir, telaprevir, atazanavir, cobicistat, macrolides, azole antifungals, calcium channel blockers)

Headache, abdominal pain, decreased appetite, constipation, flatulence, diarrhoea, nausea, alopecia, anaemia, anxiety, depression, arthralgia, blurred vision, dizziness, dry mouth & skin, dyspnoea, gastro oesophageal reflux, hot flush, insomnia, irritability, lymphopenia, malaise, migraine, myalgia, nasal congestion, neutropenia, pruritus, pyrexia, rash, reduced visual acuity, vomiting
