๐ Indications & Clinical Dosage
*Infections of the lower respiratory tract, skin and soft tissues, complicated upper and lower urinary tract infections, neutropenia, bacteraemia, septicaemia:*
BY IV INJ OR IV INF: Adults: 1-2 gm every 12 hr IV bolus over 3-5 min or IV INF over 20-30 min. Children: Not recommended.
๐ Mode of Administration
Dissolve the content of cefpirome 1 g vial in 10 ml sterile water for IV injection. Inject slowly over 3 to 5 min. By Short IV infusion: Dissolve the content of 1 g in 100 ml sterile water for injection, and infuse over 20 to 30 min. Effervescence occurs on dissolution.

Abdominal discomfort, agranulocytosis, allergic reactions, anaphylaxis, aplastic anaemia, blood disorders, confusion, disturbances in liver enzymes, dizziness, eosinophilia, haemolytic anaemia, hallucinations, headache, hypertonia, leucopenia, nervousness, pruritus, rashes, fever and arthralgia, sleep disturbances, urticaria, GI disturbances, Rare: Stevens-Johnsonsyndrome, thrombocytopenia, toxic epidermal necrolysis, transient cholestatic jaundice, transient hepatitis

Compatibility: NaCI 0.9%, dextrose 5% plus NaCI 0.9%.
Stability & Storage: Reconstituted solution can be stored for up to 6 hours at room temperature and 24 hours in refrigerator (at 2-8 C) when prepared in water for injection BP
