*HRT for Menopausal and postmenopausal symptoms, osteoporosis:* Adult (female): 0.625 mg daily for 21 days starting on fifth day of menses if present, or arbitrarily, then 7 tab-free days. Impaired hepatic excretory function such as Dubin-Johnson & Rotor syndromes, sickle cell anaemia, acute or chronic liver disease, jaundice, porphyria, disorders of lipid metabolism, oestrogen dependent carcinomas, endometriosis, history or factor of predisposition to thrombophlebitis, thromboembolic disorders, cerebrovascular disease, history of pruritus, during pregnancy deteriorating otosclerosis, idiopathic jaundice or pemphigoid gestations (herpes gestations), undiagnosed genital bleeding, pregnancy and lactation.

Hypertension, myocardial or renal disease, asthma, varicose veins, epilepsy, chloasma, uterine fibro-myomata. Examine BR pelvic organs & breasts before &regularly during treatment (risk of breast and endometrial carcinoma)

Diuretics, antihypertensives, liver enzyme inducing drugs.

GI upset, nausea, vomiting, weight gain, breast tenderness and enlargement, breakthrough bleed-ing, headache, dizziness, impaired liver function, cholestatic jaundice, epistaxis, migraine, thromboembolic disorders (consider withdrawal), exacerbation of varicose veins, increased blood pressure, transient erythema, generalized pruritus, lower glucose tolerance, endometrial carcinoma in postmenopausal women.
