📋 Indications & Clinical Dosage
*Hyperacidity, distension, flatulence, heartburn, dyspepsia, hiatus hernia, peptic ulcer:*
Adults: 1-2 tsp between meals and at bed time.
Children 5-12 yrs: half adult dose. Above 12 yr: same as
adult dose.
⚠️ Precautions & Warnings
Renal impairment, patients on low phosphate diet, hepatic impairment. Antacids may damage enteric coatings designed to prevent dissolution in the stomach.
🔄 Drug Interactions
May alter absorption of tetracyclines, Fe salts, H2-receptor antagonists, INH, warfarin, quinidine.
⚠️ Adverse Reactions / Side Effects
Vomiting, nausea, Diarrhoea, constipation, intestinal obstruction (large dose).
