📋 Indications & Clinical Dosage
*Peptic ulcer, belching, hiatus hernia, gastritis, dyspepsia, gastric hyperacidity and flatulence and heartburn:*
Adults: 1 or 2 tsp. Children above 6 yrs: 1 tsp to be taken one and three hr after meals and at bedtime
⚠️ Precautions & Warnings
Renal dysfunction, patients on low phosphate diet, hepatic impairment. Antacids may damage enteric coatings designed to prevent dissolution in the stomach, prolong use.
🔄 Drug Interactions
May alter absorption of tetracyclines,INH, warfarin Fe salts, H2-receptor antagonists,quinidine.
⚠️ Adverse Reactions / Side Effects
Vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, intestinal obstruction.
