📋 Indications & Clinical Dosage
*Raised intra-ocular pressure in chronic open-angle glaucoma & ocular hypertension:*
Adults: (0.5%) drops once daily. (0.25%) drops twice daily. Severe or uncontrolled: (0.5%) 1-2 drops twice daily.
⛔ Contraindications
Severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchospasm, including bronchial asthma, and uncontrolled congestive heart failure, hypersensitivity to any of the contents.
⚠️ Precautions & Warnings
Hepatic impairment, history of renal calculi, chronic corneal defects, history of intraocular surgery, low endothelial cell count, systemic absorption follows topical application
🔄 Drug Interactions
Reserpine, systemic beta-blockers.
⚠️ Adverse Reactions / Side Effects
Ocular irritation, bitter taste, blurred vision, conjunctivitis, eyelid inflammation, darkening of mixed coloured irides; inform patient, darker, longer or thicker lashes, conjunctival hyperaemia, headache, dizziness, systemic beta- blocking effects.
