📋 Indications & Clinical Dosage
*Prophylaxis and treatment of allergic rhinitis:*
Adult & Children above 12 yrs: 110 mcg (2 spray) once daily into each nostril, reduced to 55 mcg(1 spray) once daily into each nostril when control achieved; max. duration of treatment 3 months.
Children 6-11 yrs: 55 mcg (1 spray) once daily into each nostril, increased if necessary to 110 mcg (1 spray) once daily into each nostril; reduce dose when control achieved; max. duration of treatment 3 months.
⚠️ Precautions & Warnings
Avoid in pulmonary tuberculosis, avoid after nasal surgery (until healed), avoid in the presence of untreated nasal infections (treat infection first), patients transferred from systemic corticosteroids may experience xacerbation of some symptoms, caution in conditions of stress, trauma, surgery, infection, pregnancy and lactation. Monitor patients for signs of adrenal insufficiency, monitor growth in adolescents in prolong therapy
⚠️ Adverse Reactions / Side Effects
Aggression and anxiety (in children), headache, dryness, epistaxis, hypersensitivity reactions, nasal and throat irritation, nasal ulceration, sleep disturbances, smell disturbances, taste disturbances. Rare: Bronchospasm, anaphylaxis
