📋 Indications & Clinical Dosage
*Symptomatic treatment of condition like Muscular spasm, spasticity:*
Adults: 1 tab three times daily.
Children: Not recommended.
⛔ Contraindications
Myasthenia gravis (but may be used to decrease muscarinic side-effects of anticholinesterases), paralytic ileus, pyloric stenosis, toxic megacolon, and prostatic enlargement.
⚠️ Precautions & Warnings
Hypersensitivity to the drug, kidney dysfunction, Downs syndrome, elderly, gastro-esophageal reflux disease, diarrhoea, ulcerative colitis, autonomic neuropathy, acute myocardial infarction, hypertension, conditions characterized by tachycardia.
🔄 Drug Interactions
Amantadine, digoxin, phenothiazines atenolol, tricyclic antidepressants.
⚠️ Adverse Reactions / Side Effects
Constipation, transient bradycardia (followed by tachycardia, palpitation and arrhythmias), reduced bronchial secretions, urinary dysfunction, renal dysfunction and retention, pruritis, dry mouth, photo-phobia, flushing and dryness of the skin, confusion (particu-larly. in the elderly), nausea, vomiting, and giddiness, angle-closure glaucoma may occur.
