📋 Indications & Clinical Dosage
*Locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer (by specialist only):*
Adult: 125 mg once daily for 21 consecutive days of repeated 28 day cycles, consult product literature.
⚠️ Precautions & Warnings
Risk of interstitial lung disease and pneumonitis severe or fatal in some cases, monitor pulmonary symptoms indicative of interstitial lung disease and pneumonitis, such as cough or dyspnoea. Use effective contraception in women of childbearing potential during treatment and for at least 3 weeks after completing treatment. Male patients should use effective contraception during treatment and for at least 14 weeks after completing treatment. Caution in moderate to severe hepatic impairment, dose reduction to 75 mg once daily in severe hepatic impairment. Caution and monitor closely for signs of toxicity in moderate-to-severe renal impairment. Monitor full blood count prior to starting therapy, at the start of each cycle, on day 14 of the first 2 cycles and as clinically indicated.
🔄 Drug Interactions
CYP3A Inducers, CYP3A Inhibitors, Grapefruit juice.
SIDE-EFFECTS: Anaemia, alopecia, neutropenia, leucopenia, thrombocytopenia, asthenia, decreased appetite, epistaxis, diarrhoea, nausea, dry eye, excessive tearing, blurred vision, fever, infection, mucositis, oropharyngeal complaints, respiratory disorders, skin reactions, taste altered, vomiting
