📋 Indications & Clinical Dosage
*Ovarian cancer, Fallopian tube cancer, Peritoneal cancer:*
Adult: 300 mg twice daily, when using olaparib monotherapy, patients should start treatment no later
than 8 weeks after completion of their final dose of a platinum-containing regimen, for dose adjustments
due to side-effects; consult product literature.
*Breast cancer, Adenocarcinoma of the pancreas, Prostate cancer:*
Adult: 300 mg twice daily, for dose adjustments due to side-effects; consult product literature.
⚠️ Precautions & Warnings
Pre-existing hypertension (control before treatment initiation), use effective contraception in women of childbearing potential
during treatment and for 1 month after receiving the last dose. Avoid in severe hepatic and renal impairment. Monitor full blood count weekly for
the 1st month of treatment, then monthly for the next 10 months and periodically thereafter, monitor blood pressure weekly for the 1st 2 months of treatment, then monthly for the 1st year, and periodically thereafter.
⚠️ Adverse Reactions / Side Effects
Agranulocytosis, anaemia, asthenia, decreased leucocytes, diarrhoea, dizziness, dyspnoea, erythropenia, GI discomfort, headache, nausea, neutropenia, neutropenic infection, neutropenic sepsis, oral disorders, skin reactions, thrombocytopenia, vomiting. Rare:
Angioedema, erythema nodosum, haematotoxicity, neoplasms, pneumonitis (discontinue if confirmed).
