📋 Indications & Clinical Dosage
*Active immunization against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, Hepatitis B and Haemophilus influenzae type B:*
BY DEEP SC OR IM INJ: Children 2 month-4 yr: 3 separate injections each of 0.5 ml at interval of minimum of 4 weeks; not recommended above 4 years age.
⛔ Contraindications
Severe local or general reaction to a preceding dose, neurological disease, acute illness, history of convulsions, cerebral irritation or damage in the neonatal period.
⚠️ Precautions & Warnings
History of familial epilepsy. Children with history of severe local reaction to a preceding dose should be given DPT in one limb and Hib in another.
⚠️ Adverse Reactions / Side Effects
Fever, irritability, persistent crying, headache loss of appetite; malaise, somnolence, allergy, local pain, neurological effects.
