📋 Indications & Clinical Dosage
*Active immunization of healthy adults and adolescents found to be seronegative to varicella-zoster:*
BY SC INJ: Adults: 2 doses of 0.5 ml at dose interval of 8 week; minimum dose interval 6 wk.
Children above 1-2 y: who are in close contacts of persons at high risk of severe infection, 1 dose of 0.5ml.
⛔ Contraindications
Acute severe febrile illness, hypersensitivity, pregnancy; ensure adequate contraception during and for up to three months following course, lacta-tion, primary or acquired immune-deficiency
⚠️ Precautions & Warnings
Severe skin conditions. Signs of rash, advise to avoid contact with at risk individuals.
🔄 Drug Interactions
Do not give within three months of blood transfusion or immunoglobulins, salicylates during and for six weeks after course
⚠️ Adverse Reactions / Side Effects
Injection site reactions, fatigue, fever, headache, papulovesicular rash
